2026 Spring Doins - Goldfield, NV
April 24-26- Goldfield, NV
Florence Mine - Map
GPS: 37.708801, -117.219004
Noble Grand Humbug “Izzy” Whitbeck has called for the redshirts of the Queho Posse and all other duly enfranchised redshirts to gather in Goldfield, Nevada, on the weekend of April 24-26. Bring your unfortunate PBCs for a fine HOCO and an historical review of the efforts of Senator George Nixon and George Wingfield to create Goldfield Consolidated Mining Company. We will be plaquing the Goldfield Consolidated Mining Company-Deep Mines Building (also known as the Nixon-Wingfield Building), a building which played a significant role in the history of the town of Goldfield and the early twentieth century mining boom of southern Nevada. The clampsite will be on the Florence Mine, the only major mine which maintained its independence from the Goldfield Consolidated and is independent to this day. Come and learn more.
We are planning to have a Doins Shirt for this one. Prepay only, before 4/15. Make sure you add it to your cart from the menu below.
Note that (in a deviation from tradition) we are NOT clamping at a Gun Range. But it's a mine, and that's pretty much the same thing, right? We have access to the site beginning on Thursday for you early-birds. Plenty of room for big rigs. XNGH Big Elvis will be bringing the Typhoon-Class toy hauler "Graceland", so we probably have room for your little shack too.
And for fellow radio nerds, you might catch some of us on GMRS19 or the usual HAM calling freqs. The Amargosa Ham Club has a repeater (146.76 PL123, standard offset). LVRAC will also have our linked EOC repeaters up (LV-146.91 PL100, standard offset)(Amargosa 447.200, PL100, standard offset). Shout at us on the way in. If you only have a CB, well, you’re gonna have to chat with Large Marge, because that’s the only folks still running CB, you caveman. ‘73
Pay Up Sucka!
We are now accepting your Gold Dust via ZELLE! This mechanism saves the chapter a little on fees, and is our new preferred method. If you have Zelle (and why wouldn't you?), please submit your gold dust to recorder(at)quehoposse.org. Use the flyer to tally up your total.
If you can't do Zelle, you can still submit your gold dust via the PayPal here:
Lastly, you can still submit your gold dust by mail, you decrepit old bastard. If you do, get it in earlay in the mornin'. Like preferably no later than 4/15.

General Meeting - Sierra Gold (Nevada Style!)
Second Tuesday, every month 6:37pm
The curse of Queho, impotent so far!
Thus far, Sierra Gold has managed to keep it's doors open, much to the chagrin of the acursed Queho.
We meet every month (except December, that's Christmachanukwanzadad!) for a briefing on the upcoming events, past events, and to get some good grub.
There is no cost for entry to this event. Worth noting, Happy Hour is in effect until 7pm, so get there a bit early, and save yourself some dough!

Indian Springs Water Company
The Indian Springs Water Company - Rhyolite, Nevada
In collaboration with Flying Elvis FilmWorks, here's our first profeshunally produced YouTube Video. Originally recorded at our Fall Doins in Rhyolite, Nevada October 5th 2025. The Beard of Knowledge himself drones on incessantly about water in the desert, jackasses, and bungholes. Don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE and all that jazz.
